  • 500 g pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 600 ml milk
  • 100 g frozen spinach (or fresh)
  • 150 g grated cheddar (or cheese of your choice)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan
Instructions
    • Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package
    • Coat a larger oven dish with butter
    • In a deeper pot, place the butter to melt over low heat
    • Add the flour while stirring with a whisk
    • Fry the flour, stirring constantly, taking care not to burn
    • When the flour changes color to golden yellow, add cold milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps
    • Add nutmeg, white pepper and salt
    • Cook until boiling, then add the frozen spinach
    • After the spinach has melted add the cheese to melt
    • Stir in the egg
    • Place the cooked pasta in a prepared oven dish
