- In a deep frying pan, sauté sliced onions and carrots to soften
- Add sliced sausage to release aroma
- Add washed lentils, thyme, smoked paprika, salt and bay leaf
- Stir well, add sliced sausage, and water to cover all ingredients

- Cook covered for about 20 minutes (depending on the type of lens, adjust the cooking time)
- Put tomato paste, sliced kale and cook for another 5 minutes until the kale softens
- Season to taste

- Serve with toasted bread spiced with garlic, sweet pepper and lard or olive oil
